ProClarity via MSDN

For all of you with MSDN subscriptions, you should now be able to download the ProClarity product line from the MSDN web site (version 6.3).

No word on whether Microsoft will mail out CDs...but is that really that important anymore?

Personally, I think this is wonderful news. Anything to get a wider base for ProClarity is good by me.

Do note: I am a former ProClarity employee, I'm sure there is still a fair amount of my code running around the desktop product...and I'm available for consulting! :)

Will ProClarity be integrated as part of the PerformancePoint Server or will ProClarity be a stand alone product that can be enhanced by PerformancePoint Server?

After June 30 will 6.2 receive support from Microsoft?

For our users that have compiled reports in Business Reporter will these still be able to be used if using Office 2007 with 6.3?

Hoping someone can help me here... I can never seem to get a straight answer. darren.shearer@infohrm.com

Hi Darren,

For the initial release of Performance Point, a few parts of ProClarity are being integrated into Performance Point, like the Decomposition Tree. And I know my friends at ProClarity are working on Performance Point, but they wont tell me exactly what they are doing with it. And the Decomposition Tree is the only existing ProClarity software that I know of that is being integrated into Performance Point.

The second answer is, Performance Point can also be used by the business to create cubes. You should be able to use ProClarity in its existing form to browse those cubes.

Chris.
